The Tissot story
The Tissot story began in Le Locle, Switzerland, in 1853. Still based in Le Locle, the brand is now represented on five continents, and Tissot is today number one in traditional Swiss watchmaking in terms of volume. The brand's DNA revolves around two characteristics: an attachment to traditional values and a drive for innovation. Throughout its history, the brand has put this dual stamp on all its products and technologies, as well as on the diversified portfolio of its sales and marketing activities. Praised for the high quality of its creations, the watchmaker has been appointed Official Timekeeper and Partner in numerous sporting disciplines, including basketball, motor sports, rugby and cycling, over the course of its prestigious history. Tissot, which sells its watches in over 160 countries worldwide, is a member of the Swatch Group, the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of Swiss watches.

Tissot and sport
Tissot quickly forged links with the world of sport. But the watchmaker really entered the sports timing business in 1938, before becoming a key player in championships over the years. Today, the brand's sporting calendar features a multitude of prestigious events and a wide range of disciplines. In addition to its partnerships as Official Timekeeper in basketball with the NBA and FIBA; in cycling with the Tour de France and the UCI World Championships; in motorsports with MotoGP™ and the FIM Superbike World Championships ; or in rugby with the 6 Nations Tournament, the Top 14, the European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup, Tissot is also a sponsor of the World Fencing and Ice Hockey Championships, which entrust it with the management of timekeeping and all data.

A tribute to our Swiss roots
Alongside tradition, precision and innovation, Tissot attaches particular importance to the "Swiss Made" label. It is therefore natural, and with great pleasure, that Tissot supports and encourages projects that convey these values, which are dear to the brand. For several years now, Tissot has been contributing to the development of tourism in the Swiss Alps through a number of partnerships. In particular, the brand collaborates with the Swiss Alpine Club, with whom it shares a common love of tradition, as well as with the highly innovative Jungfrau Railway. Always in search of innovation, Tissot took part in the First Cliff Walk by Tissot project in Grindelwald, and supported an equally ambitious initiative at Glacier 3000, where the brand's name now appears on the first suspension bridge to link two peaks: Peak Walk by Tissot.
