750 gold, 585 gold or 375 gold ring: what's the difference?

As you may have noticed when searching for a gold ring on our website, there are several types of gold: 750, 585 and 375. So what do these numbers mean? Quite simply, they're an indicator of the percentage of pure gold in a piece of jewelry.

750 (18-carat) gold is made up of 75% pure gold, and is therefore used in the manufacture of fine jewelry and precious items such as wedding rings. Gold 585 (14 carats) is 58.5% pure gold, offering a perfect balance between quality, brilliance and cost.
