What is a birthstone?

Birthstones are more than just gems: they have a strong symbolism and deep meaning, stemming from ancient beliefs and traditions. Each stone is associated with a particular month of the year, reflecting the personality and values of those born in that month.
If you were born in April, for example, the diamond, symbol of purity and eternity, represents you. On the other hand, if you were born in May, the emerald, symbol of rebirth and fertility, is associated with you.

The 12 birthstones are therefore charged with spiritual significance, which is why they are also often used to adorn beautiful jewelry such as necklaces, rings and bracelets, like the ones we offer at MATY.
