Founded in 1951, MATY is a French family-owned company specializing in multi-channel jewelry and watch sales (e-commerce and a network of 40 jewelry stores). Born in Besançon, the cradle of watchmaking, the company's head office, workshops and logistics are still based there.
A leader in online jewelry sales, MATY is recognized for its know-how, creating exceptional jewelry in its workshops, and for its ability to innovate, selling second-hand jewelry, synthetic diamonds and recycled gold.

From the outset, our ambition has been to make jewelry accessible. That every woman and every man can find a piece of jewelry, whatever their desires or budget. Nothing less. We have structured our offer around this ambition, offering a variety of classic and original ranges that are always on the lookout for innovation. That's why we've launched the sale of pre-owned jewelry and watches on our website and in our network.

Everyone can treat themselves at MATY! And if the jewel of your dreams doesn't yet exist, we can create it in our workshops!

A forerunner in distance selling, MATY launched its e-commerce site in 2000, and by 2022 will have become the French benchmark for jewelry and watch sales! Since 2021, it has also been named one of the best jewelry websites. The tools evolve, but our motto remains intact. "Love, create, serve", always and forever.

Because they understand that jewelry is much more than a simple accessory, and that it is often linked to the most important stages of life, our teams pay the utmost attention to it, caring for it throughout its life (maintenance, repair, trade-in). 

Whether restoring a family heirloom to its former glory or creating a one-of-a-kind piece that existed only in a customer's imagination, there's no challenge that stops our jewelers!

The roots of a dream

The Vesontio collection was created in reference to Besançon, located in the Doubs department of Franche-Comté. With this collection, the Maty designers wanted to pay tribute to the cradle of French watchmaking that saw the birth of Maty, the fruit of the dreams and visionary ideas of its founder, Gérard Mantion. A timeless attachment for the brand, which is still headquartered in Besançon. A symbolic line steeped in history, this collection of overlays and cogs is a nod to Maty's core business, and a reminder of its passion for the beauty, precision and meticulousness of the watchmaking world.

Born in Besançon, MATY is proud of its Franc-Comtois roots. As the capital of time measurement, Besançon has been the headquarters of major watchmaking brands. The capital of the Comtois region has forged a worldwide reputation and has many assets for those who want to take the trouble to discover it.
