How do you change the strap on your watch?
If you'd like to change the strap on your watch, your MATY advisor can suggest a wide range of available straps that are perfectly suited to your watch. The change is then carried out on site by our qualified experts.
If none of the models match your expectations, your MATY consultant can order the model that interests you. It will take approximately 15 to 30 days to receive your bracelet.
For special bracelets, we can also order from our partner brands. In this case, lead times may vary according to the brand and bracelet chosen.
How to size your watch?
Visit your nearest Bijouterie MATY. Our expert watchmakers will be able to size your watch on the spot, according to your wrist size and preferences.
In jewelry stores, the cost of sizing a steel bracelet is €10, and for touch-ups and sizing of watch bracelets, the price is €19.

How to clean your watch case?
It's important to check the water-resistance of your watch. If you have the slightest doubt, don't hesitate to visit Bijouterie MATY for advice.
Watch not very waterproof
If your watch is only slightly water-resistant, never use water. Instead, you can clean the case with a soft cloth and/or a soft bristle brush.
Waterproof watch
When your watch is sufficiently water-resistant to withstand contact with water (watch guide). Check that the crown is screwed down and pushed in to avoid any infiltration during cleaning.
If your bracelet is made of a fragile material, such as leather, it's best to remove it before starting to clean your case.
You can then clean it with clear, warm, soapy water. Use a mild, PH-neutral soap. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.

In leather or fabric
Unlike rubber or metal, leather and fabric (such as Nato bracelets) don't like water, which can cause stains. With these materials, you can simply use a soft cloth.

With a self-winding watch, immobility is to be avoided. It is therefore important to wear your watch regularly to keep it running and to limit wear and tear. Even if you wear your watch regularly, it's still important to have it serviced every two years or so.
How to care for your Quartz watch
If you own a Quartz watch, we recommend changing the battery every year. Waiting until your watch no longer works before changing the battery can be very harmful to its mechanism.
If the battery in your watch stops working, you need to change it as soon as possible to prevent it from leaking and damaging the mechanism, often irreversibly.

If you wish to have your MATY watch serviced, please visit your nearest Bijouterie, so that an advisor can pass your watch on to our watchmaking workshops. For brand watches (other than MATY), servicing can be carried out in our workshops, or directly with the brand concerned.
