Pequignet is the perfect example of France's heritage in Haute Horlogerie. It was founded in 1973 by Emile Pequignet in Morteau, the historic cradle of watchmaking in the French Jura. Pequignet subsequently gained new momentum to become a French Haute Horlogerie manufacturer. Distinguished five times by the first prize at the Cadran d'Or in Paris, the Maison is best known for its women's collections, which embody a certain French touch throughout the world. In 2006, Pequignet opened its own Haute Horlogerie Manufacture. It was in this laboratory that the Calibre Royal was conceived, created, and assembled. Between 2010 and 2011, the first Calibre Royal collections were presented. Pequignet then became the French Haute Horlogerie Manufacture whose symbol is the Fleur-de-Lys. In 2012, two private investors bought the company and set about preserving its complete independence and French nationality. Laurent Katz, its new president, was the architect of its rebirth. In 2017, four executives from the company bought the Manufacture and founded PEQUIGNET HORLOGERIE.
